your role/ your tasks:

  • Establish SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK as preferred Partner for Nitric acid and Gasification key equipment for the international chemical and petrochemical industries
  • Bring in new clients for our organization while retaining the existing ones. You will act as the key point of contact for our clients
  • Sales & tendering responsibility including acquisition, specification review, defining tendering strategy, creating technical solutions, preparing technical and commercial offer in collaboration with team members
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, negotiate contracts, and finalize sales deals
  • Work with other departments (engineering, execution, procurement, marketing and customer service) to maintain and boost customer experience
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to promote our products, at home and abroad
  • Scheduling and conducting product demos, following up with existing clients & key accounts collecting feedback, and maintaining business relationships
  • Identifying new sales opportunities through networking events and initiating contact with the right prospects
  • Meet targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Preparing sales reports with critical targets, trends, and highlights and analyzing data to improve sales approach

skills and qualifications:

  • Successfully completed engineering studies with a focus on Mechanical, Energy, Process or Chemical engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, with minimum 3 years in sales, tender or project management of customized Build-To-Order products
  • Sound technical experience in the nitric acid, ammonia production industry or gasification industry is of advantage
  • Dynamic personality who develops innovative solutions and communicates them to customers and partners to create viable business opportunities
  • Leadership, communication, networking and negotiation skills with intercultural competencies
  • Fluent German and English skills, spoken and written. Other languages can be of benefit
  • Willingness and ability to travel on business worldwide
  • Skilled in CRM and lead generation platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot or similar type is desirable
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel & Power BI would be advantageous
